Dr. Sierra was born in Colombia and moved to the United States at the age of 12. He initially lived in New York and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University. He then moved to Boston and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Harvard University in 2017.
Finally, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. While in residency, he served as chief resident and cared for patients at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Presbyterian Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital.
Dr. Sierra’s professional interests include hospital-based and office-based surgical procedures such as wisdom tooth extraction, bone grafting, oral reconstruction with dental implants, orthognathic surgery and oral and maxillofacial pathology.
Dr. Sierra takes great pride in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care to all his patients. He believes that respect for patient autonomy is paramount in the patient-doctor relationship.
Dr. Sierra likes to enjoy his free time with his wife, Cristy, and toy poodle, Cooper. You may find him trying out new restaurants, hiking in the surrounding areas or competing in local cycling races.
